While pursuing an engineering degree in biotechnology , he dabbled in modeling and made attempts to start a career in film .kartik's parents wanted him to become a doctor , but he chose acting . Kartik is a man who lived amidst financial difficulties . He made money by cooking for his friends at his lodge .
